Commercial Analytics Manager | Revenue, Pricing & Promotion Analytics | AI-Augmented Business Intelligence
BEng · GradCertE · MIEAust · CargoWise Certified Professional
Commercial analytics leader with 24 years turning complex commercial and operational data into executive decisions. I lead commercial intelligence for the Oceania region at Röhlig Logistics, partnering directly with the CCO and CEO on KPI governance, pricing and margin analysis, business cases, and the AI-assisted analytical infrastructure behind executive decisions. My craft is building a trusted single source of truth from multi-source data (SAP Analytics Cloud), translating analytics into commercial action, and enabling stakeholders to adopt it. Consumer-pricing roots in multi-country retail — price-change and margin-group scenario modelling, age-based repricing — give me the foundations of revenue growth management. Over the past 18 months I have layered modern AI and LLM tooling onto two decades of commercial judgement, shipping production-grade reporting automation and ROI analytics that compress multi-day cycles into same-day decisions.

Re: Application for Commercial Analytics Manager
Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the Commercial Analytics Manager role at Colgate-Palmolive. As you would expect from any strong analytics hire, I will be direct about both the fit and the gap, because I think you will appreciate the honesty.
The analytical core of this role — partnering with commercial stakeholders, building a trusted single source of truth, pricing and promotion analysis, and translating technical output into executive decisions — describes the work I do today at Röhlig Logistics, where I lead commercial intelligence for the Oceania region and partner directly with the CCO and CEO. Over the past 18 months I have designed and deployed AI-assisted analytics that consolidate multi-source data into same-day executive insight: a multi-client analytics platform spanning volume, trade-lane, spend, KPI and margin data; a negative-profit and variance framework that surfaces margin leakage and triggers commercial action; and daily executive intelligence briefings the leadership team acts on before the morning starts. Earlier, at Fast Future Brands, I owned pricing and margin analytics across a multi-country retail business — price-change scenario modelling by margin group and sales-age analysis driving short-term repricing — so consumer pricing and promotion dynamics are not new to me.
What I would bring beyond the analytics craft is an AI operating model most analysts do not have. Colgate-Palmolive has named data, analytics and AI a pillar of its 2030 strategy and pointed to agentic AI as the next frontier for revenue growth management — and applying exactly those capabilities to commercial problems is what I do daily. I do not simply read about AI in analytics; I build and ship it.
The honest gap is industry and vocabulary. My recent background is freight and commercial analytics rather than FMCG, and I have not run revenue-growth-management or marketing-mix-modelling programmes by those names. What I bring instead is the discipline the role is actually built on — the description is clear that this is the bridge between the advanced data-science team and commercial decision-makers, not a model-building seat — together with genuine quantitative grounding (four-stage demand modelling earlier in my engineering career), consumer-pricing roots, and a track record of learning complex domains quickly, as I did with CargoWise. I am confident I would close the FMCG-specific gap fast.
I am based locally in Sydney and would welcome the opportunity to discuss the role. I have also prepared a short, practical demonstration of how I would approach your trade-promotion analytics, which I would be glad to walk through. Thank you for considering my application.
Kind regards,
Michael Park
